ClockTap vs Clockify
Clockify is a well-known global time tracker built around billable hours, projects, and client work. Its free plan is generous for solo users and tiny teams, but a kiosk needs the Basic tier and approvals need Standard — both billed per seat every month. ClockTap is built the other way round: a shift team's kiosk, approvals, and Philippine day types are in every plan, at one flat yearly price.
These figures are read from Clockify's own public pricing page, checked August 2026. Clockify prices in US dollars, so your peso cost moves with the exchange rate.
ClockTap figures use standard list prices — launch promos on the pricing page may be lower.
What Clockify costs
- Free plan: up to 5 users, basic time tracking — no kiosk, no time off, no scheduling.
- Basic — $3.99 per seat per month on annual billing ($4.99 monthly): adds kiosk.
- Standard — $5.49 per seat per month annually ($6.99 monthly): adds time off, approvals, and invoicing.
- Pro — $7.99 per seat per month annually ($9.99 monthly): adds scheduling, GPS, and expenses.
- Kiosk-only "limited" seats — staff who clock in but never log in — cost about $0.79 to $2.39 per month instead of a full seat.
20-person team, per year

Choose Clockify if
- You bill clients by project and need timesheets tied to billable rates
- You want invoicing, expenses, and time tracking in one tool
- Your team is mostly desk-based and tracks tasks rather than shifts
Choose ClockTap if
- You run shifts, not projects — the question is who showed up, not what they worked on
- You want a kiosk and approvals without moving up two paid tiers
- You need Philippine holiday categories and night differential handled properly
- You would rather pay pesos at a flat yearly rate than dollars per seat per month
Common questions.
Only partly. The free plan covers 5 users with basic time tracking, but a shared kiosk starts at the Basic tier and approvals for time off start at Standard. For a shift team those two features are the job, not extras. ClockTap includes a kiosk and approvals on its free Starter plan for up to 5 employees.
It depends on the seat type. On the Standard tier — the cheapest one with time off and approvals — 20 full seats cost $5.49 each per month on annual billing, about $1,318 or roughly ₱75,000 a year at ₱57 to the dollar. If your team only ever taps a shared kiosk, Clockify's cheaper "limited" seats bring that closer to ₱19,000 a year for one full seat plus 19 limited ones (checked August 2026). ClockTap Pro covers up to 50 employees and 5 locations for ₱2,990 a year flat, billed in pesos, with no seat types to choose between.
Not as day types. Clockify has generic holiday and time-off policies, so a regular holiday, a special non-working day, and a special working day all look the same to it. ClockTap tracks the three Philippine categories per location, so hours land in the right bucket before you export them.
Keep comparing.
Most owners weigh two or three of these before deciding. The Philippine attendance guide explains the day types and the night-differential window that every table above refers to, and the free holiday pay calculator works the rates out for a single shift.
